This property is very old and in serious need of renovation. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, mattress is on a spring frame. There was a noticeable odor throughout the room, and the carpeted floor felt unclean. Overall, I do not recommend staying at this property.

The first room we got had a broken TV and was not cleaned. There was sticky stuff everywhere, dust, the beds had yellow stains. The second room we got was the same way. They finally moved us into a better room after much complaint but this was nothing special. It was only for a night so we dealt with it but DO NOT stay here.

Baymont by Wyndham – Manistee, Michigan Where Hope Goes to Die in Chlorinated Air You roll into Manistee expecting small-town charm, maybe a fresh breeze off the lake, maybe even a little comfort after a long drive through the spine of Michigan. What you don’t expect is the smell of piss rising from your mattress like it’s trying to introduce itself. First room—dead on arrival. One of the beds reeked like someone had lost a bet with a bladder. The kind of stench you don't forget. Front desk shrugs, hands over a new room key like this is just part of the game. No apology, no concern—just another day at the Baymont Casino of Bodily Fluids. Second room? Bigger. That’s the good news. The bad news? It came with a broken toilet seat, a toilet that wouldn’t flush, and one that wouldn’t stop running. A full circus of plumbing problems. Call the front desk, and you're met with the kind of Midwest customer service that’s a mix of polite detachment and mild disbelief. "Maintenance won’t be in until Wednesday,” they say, casually offering up a plunger like you're a contestant in a particularly sad game show. And while you're elbow-deep in DIY hotel plumbing, go ahead and take a peek at the AC filters. You know, if you’re into biohazards. Dust caked on like ancient scrolls. The kind of stuff that

When we checked in we were given a room that wasn’t ready yet, and we weren’t told about it. We stood out in the hall for 20 minutes and the maids didn’t seem to care. Everything is super average here and the bare minimum. I would think twice about staying here again.
