Create memories with your family and get back to the basics of togetherness at The Rec Farm, one of the Bluegrass region’s newest vacation destinations conveniently located just miles from Interstate-64 but a world away from the norm of a regular stay.

The three-bedroom log cabin sleeps 13 comfortably with plenty of room to cozy up by the stone fireplace under a cathedral ceiling with views of the lake just beyond a spacious deck. The landscape of The Rec Farm encourages everyone to take the party outside, where an eight-person hot tub and fire pit provide more opportunities for relaxing and connecting, and the adjacent recreation barn serves up an evening of fun.

Everyone will forget about their phones and social media with an evening spent challenging each other in Pop-a-Shot basketball, foosball, video gaming, ski ball and ping pong. There’s even a designated dance floor and Karaoke machine.

The Rec Farm is an all-fun-inclusive destination where you can get connected and get away from it all at the same time. Ideal for family escapes or work retreats, this 45-acre property also features a 100 X 50-foot structure available for additional rental for special events and activities.

Great Weekend Getaway
I visited this property on a trip to the bourbon trail with 12 total people for two nights and it was everything we could ask for. There are a lot of options for sleeping and the Rec Barn is a lot of fun. The proximity to a lot of the distilleries was a selling point as well. Overall, it was a great time, and the communication from the host was fantastic.

Overall a very cool experience and beautiful property. But we did have a lot of little problems. Inside the coach cushions where really gross. The hot tub didn't work correctly. The Internet in the house barely worked. The rec barn TV had connection issues. The speaker surround system didn't work with the TV in the rec barn. The rug in the rec barn is really dangers, we slipped several times. Some of the rec barn games had issues. I did like the guy who owns the place came to help us where he could. I wish things could have gone better at this location. Especially for how much we all paid.
