A lovely, homely, and quirky cottage with a garden to the canal and visible from the sunny backroom. Huge advantage of an upstairs bathroom by the bedrooms and another showroom downstairs. Lots of equipment including a dishwasher and washer/dryer machines. The shops are a short walk into the village and the Navigation pub close by has a big canal side open area and a cosy interior offering a good range of small dishes and excellent meals. A quick walk along the canal sees ducks and geese, locks and bridges, and there are further longer walks along the Soar and across fields to other villages. A nice choice if you are not looking for a minimalist contractors focussed place. We had a great 5 days and there was room to ask family to come and eat with us in the cottage.
