I have stayed here at least a dozen times-this time was a little different. Check-in was 5 star!! (Friendly, thorough). Upon entering my room, the smell of a recently sprayed floral spray of some type was very overwhelming. I had to open the window to air it out, a few gnats were flying around. The gnats might have entered through the window and they dispersed pretty quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. I did encounter a homeless person sleeping on the sidewalk as I exited, the hotel at 6am, but the hotel cannot be held accountable for that. Will certainly stay here again.

The room is about the size of a jail cell. The sink is 1 and half foot from the bed. There is barely room to walk. The bathroom is about 2 feet from the other side of the bed. The picture that is display is not the hotel Royal hotel. The hotel, if you call it, is like a 100 year old building. We book for 2 days, but we left the very next morning, refund or not. It was unacceptable. We have stayed at motel 6 in WA that is 3 to 4 time better than this. We left this hotel and stayed at Hampton Hotel in Los Angeles

Wonderful hotel

The hotel offers amazing amenities. Super clean and eco friendly. Great walking distance from downtown bars and clubs. Staff is super friendly, and the sheets/pillows were so comfy.

The building was really great, interesting how it was broken into different areas. The ability to use bicycles was really cool and I was sad I didn’t take advantage of that. Unfortunately some other guests did not clean up after their pets and there was poop in the alley getting to parking. No elevator, just fyi if you stay or any upper floors. Great and helpful staff. Easy to check in and out!
