La struttura si trova in una zona periferica, lontana dal caos, immersa nella natura, a poca distanza dai confini del Parco dei Nebrodi. La vista sulle Eolie aggiunge quel pizzico di bellezza al panorama già suggestivo sui boschi circostanti.
La cortesia e la disponibilità dei gestori, che ci hanno deliziati con la ricca e dolce colazione "a chilometro zero", fornendoci tutte le informazioni sui percorsi naturalistici e sui principali punti di interesse presenti nel territorio, ha reso il nostro soggiorno piacevole e rilassante. Se siete amanti degli amici a quattro zampe, troverete tanti gattini che giocano in giardino e la dolcissima cagnolona Frida che cerca le coccole di grandi e piccini. Le stanze sono confortevoli e il terrazzino dove poter gustare la colazione e rilassarsi al sole è incantevole. Se siete amanti della montagna e della buona cucina (i ristoranti nei dintorni, consigliati dai gestori, offrono ristoro al palato con piatti e prodotti tipici), l'Antico Borgo San Francesco è un'ottima "base", nonostante le distanze da coprire per raggiungere i vari punti di interesse non siano brevi e le strade non sempre in perfetto ordine.
