Amazing central location, close to a number of tube/subway stations. Front desk staff super friendly and always game to help. Get the breakfast included with your room - it was a great selection and a wonderful way to start your day. Thing to note: showers are quite short. At 5’10” I JUST fit. Maybe had to bend slightly to get in the water. Crazy how low the ceiling was in the bathroom.

First room we were given had been smoked in - the bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke. This is a no smoking hotel and I appreciate the hotel cant stop it from happening but the room should not have been allocated until the smell was gone. We were given a smaller, more dated room in the same class as our original booking, unfortunately this room had a sizeable burn mark in the carpet which did not look great. A handyman came during our stay so we assume the hotel was aware and were going to replace the carpet at some point. We’ve stayed here 4 times over the years, the location is second to none and the staff are always lovely. The restaurant is excellent, too. The rooms can unfortunately be a little hit or miss.

Staff super friendly, bed very comfortable and shower fantastic. A few small issues were very quickly rectified (I couldn’t change the thermostat so had to ask reception to do it remotely) and the queen bed is a small double so fine for me but not really great for a couple. Despite it being in the middle of Covent Garden with the windows shut I wasn’t disturbed too much. Very grateful for big fluffy pillows. Breakfast buffet options were plentiful and options to have freshly made food were great though a proper espresso made coffee would have been better as they have one behind the bar but you had to use a machine in the dining room Which just wasn’t as good. Recommended

Decent hotel

The front desk staff was great, but we weren't crazy about the one concierge - he recommended three pubs saying we didn't need a reservation; the first one had no openings and the second one had terrible food. He should have offered to make us a reservation. The room could have been cleaner, especially for the price; there were stains on the carpet and the bathroom didn't feel as clean as it could be. It was really hot in the room with just the heavy duvet - we tried turning the temperature down but it didn't really help. The location was great - walkable to the train and lots of restaurants and sites. It was loud outside when we first went to bed, however.
