Little gem in Sussex Gardens

I needed a very inexpensive room in a convenient location in London, and the Hyde Park Radnor fit the bill. I stayed three nights for very little money in a twin bed...free breakfast was a great perk.

Wonderful breakfast options every morning and close to Paddington station to get around very easily using the underground. From airport we took the Heathrow express 15 minutes to Paddington but you could also take Elizabeth line takes about 30 minutes. Note that we had a room facing the street so ear plugs are a must if you are a light sleeper and get a street room, single pane windows. This street is very active until 3am in the morning. Within 2 blocks of hotel and Paddington station are many restaurants and pubs. But remember food and drink in London costs twice what you would pay in the states be prepared. A bonus is proximity to Hyde Park for taking walks and seeing Kensington and Buckingham palace.

This is similar to many of the hotels around Paddington Station. I've heard the breakfast is great but I had to leave too early to enjoy. The hot water on the second floor took ages to arrive - like more than 5 minutes. But I eventually got a warm shower in the tiny leaking capsule. Staff was nice - it's a good place for one night near Paddington Station.

They would not order taxi to get back to station when I checked out. Other than that perfect location and safe to walk around. Lots of choicesnfor breakfast

The trouble with London these days is that your paying over £200 for a room and the value is nowhere near worth it. This hotel is a classic example of that. As little benefits as they can get away with, as little comfort and facilities as possible and a permanently smoking receptionist who was outside everytime I left the hotel/

Convenient london hotel

The staff were most helpful and friendly, the room clean and well maintained. Included breakfast was good. Location of the hotel was excellent with plenty of dining options available a short distance from the hotel. A railway/underground station was a few minutes walk. Only draw back, which seemed consistent with most hotels we stayed in, was there was no fridge in the room. Would recommend this hotel.
