Holiday Inn was supposed to be 5 star hotel. It didnt match the image and the ads. The surroundings were filthy and sketchy. One elevator was out of service the whole time we were there. Reception desk was not friendly enough for an older tourist except for Nicole (what a sweet lady). The room attendant tried her best to make the room clean but gums stuck on a carpet didnt look good. Noise from the outside didn't help for us to sleep restfully and someone tried to open the adjoining door during the night.

Good location. Nice views of the canal. Close to pubs and restaurants. Close to Airport. Really helpful staff especially at breakfast which makes a huge difference to your stay.

I prepaid for a parking spot, got to the hotel, and I had no parking space. There is no place in the area to park so our stay was off to a bad start. The room smelled and one out of two elevators was broken. Mold in the bathroom and what looked like feces on the bathroom floor, that was never cleaned and there for our entire stay. Never again.
