The family room was ideal. It was in a good location, friendly staff and a nice place to stay. The water in the shower was a bit too hot and I didn't see in the booking information that you needed photo ID but otherwise a great place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Bring ear plugs.

Good location with tube station next door and lots of food places and pubs around. It’s just a shame the walls are so thin and floors are creaky . I was working so didn’t appreciate the party’s going on at night next door. King Kong was staying in the room above .

As one of the cheaper properties for our overnight stay in London I wasn’t expecting much. We just needed a bed for the night. And that was certainly what we got. The greeting from the receptionist was not the friendliest I’ve had in a hotel. I’d go as far to say he was not suited for the hospitality sector at all. After filling in more forms and having my card swiped for “incidentals” we made it to our room and the minute we walked in noticed the ceiling light was barely attached. We informed the receptionist of this and just about had a response of a grunt. The bathroom was ok. Nearly every floor tile was cracked and the toilet was almost impossible to flush without some sort of hand/arm contortion. The 4 beds that were in our room were comfy and the bedding was clean. It was somewhere to lay our heads for the night. Would I go back? An absolute no. Not unless they do a full refurb. Oh, almost forget, it’s in a great location for the museums

For the cost, I had low expectations. I was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, clean room, heating on full and all amenities you could need (iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee etc.)

It’s a no

So we checked in. Very strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel. Condition very poor chipped paint, damp and mould. We went to our room which had mould in windows, marks across the roof, bath very poor condition. Beds were very uncomfortable, room was very hot. Carpet was bulging in place. We checked out all in all stayed for 30mins.

This hotel does not provide driver's. Sheets and blankets are all you get, which considering it was -4 outside with single glazing is just not enough. There was also no cold water, so I couldn't have a drink, had to brush my teeth with hot water and I also couldn't have a shower as it was absolutely scolding hot.

Friendly stay at Hotel Balmoral

The hotel served my purpose. Very close to the tube station and Heart hospital. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable and room clean and tidy.

I really struggled as I did write about my bad knee pain but there was no care about it and reception wasn’t convenient as it is in the first floor the outlet of the hotel is terrible and the good area around the hotel doesn’t make sense all of it was bad experience

Was very standard, stained, holes in floorboards. Toilet handle too close to sink, struggle to flush! No hand soap. Great view from window and lots of decent tv channels were the only positives I’m afraid.

Awesome location

The hotel room was clean and tidy. It was also cleaned daily for us. The location is the best part about this hotel. There are so many restaurants and shops right around it and the underground is a 2 minute walk away. The one downside was that we were put on the top floor and there is no elevator. So we got our exercise climbing 80 stairs everyday. Honestly, it was worth the location for us.

Convenient has the underground right next to it plenty of cafes and places to go around, we didnt stay in the area much but was pretty interesting, everything explained at arival, did go in winter and room was very warm, good prices for the time of year.
