Charming trulli in a convenient location
My sister, son, his partner and I planned a visit to the Puglia area to enjoy the rods for bike riding as well as the charm of the old towns and the food this area is known for. We choose Locorotundo as a good home base and it did not disappoint.
The villa/trulli was bright, clean and comfortable. We loved having wood available for fires in the fireplace each evening. The Apulia Hospitality group and especially Alesia could not have been better with communications (the owner did not speak English and our Italian was quite limited)with us and helping us with travel.
I must point out 2 issues that we had as a result of inaccurate information on the VRBO listing. Originally the pictures showed 3 beds which was important to us. It turned out 1 of the pictures was from another villa (this picture got removed when we pointed it out). In reality the third bed is only a fold up cot with a thin mattress that no adult can sleep on. It is not a Murphy bed as stated in the listing.
Secondly, the hot tub(Jacuzzi brand) as pictured in the listing does not get hot. It would not go above 30.5 Celsius which is about 86 Fahrenheit. The owner said that was the highest temp it would go. As a result we never used it. Very disappointing after a day of bike riding.
Despite these two listing misrepresentations we loved everything else about the villa. If the bed situation and the tub are not important to you I would highly recommend this villa for it’s great, convenient location and it’s charm.
