We had the misfortune of staying in room 512. We arrived at around 8 pm. When we got to the room. There was an awful musty smell. There was a used milk carton on the dresser and a suspicious white stain on the navy blue bedsheet. The room was freezing after one hour. I asked at reception if there was a problem with heating the receptionist informed me that she would turn the heat on in the room?? A hassle I really didn’t need at that time of night after a long journey. Breakfast was okay. I did enjoy a cappuccino served by one of the hard-working breakfast stuff. But based on my stay and influenced by the room, I probably wouldn’t return or recommend.

Room was clean and comfortable found it really hard to open and close door it seemed as if a new carpet had been layed and door really hard to open and close because if it .breakfast was average we had to find someone to get tea/coffee everything seemed to be running low no conversation from staff apart from taking room number. Reception staff really friendly and helpful. No parking when we arrived. Have stayed here before and really enjoyed our stay but sadly would not return again

Average, lacking comfort

Average hotel, lobby & bar lovely and modernly decorated. However, room was dated, old and noisy. Bed was old spring bed which was very uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on top of the duvet in an attempt of additional comfort. Walls very thin, could hear everyone and everything. Late check in offered at €10 per hour additional after 12 noon which was ideal as we needed a late check out. Staff were lovely.

We were warned about the refurbishment, but carried on for our weekend. Got room 501. All good first night. Saturday we ate in the hotel. My wife is a veggie. Not a great menu for her. She asked for spicy veggie chilli chicken on a bed of chips. She got it on a bed of mcCoys crisps. After an early evening of a meal and drinks we went up to our room to relax. However the entertainment was "bingo loco". Our room was only a few yards away. The evening was a constant thud of the music. The only saving grace was it finished early but we weren't warned about the event. This ruined a good weekend

Great hotel

Just back from a 2 day break...Great hotel the staff are brillant and can not do enough for you from the check in staff to the barstaff and breakfast staff. We stayed for our anniversary and they had a lovely message with chocolate covered strawberries for us on arrival. Breakfast was fresh and again staff were great and very helpful. Had a small issue with the toilet informed the girl on reception and it was sorted witin minutes. We stayed here several times and have to say definitely one of the best. They done a lovely refurbishment on rowleys bar and not overpriced. Pint of guinness was €6 and great pint. We will see you soon 10/10..
