If you want to hike along the water, the 73 km long East Coast Path promises outstanding views.

The area is known for its unique nature, beaches and great hiking and cycling trails. There are also good opportunities for horse riding. In addition to nature, the island also offers cozy fishing villages and historic buildings. Visit the largest town, Visby, with its winding medieval streets, colorful houses and many churches. Its impressive 3.4-kilometre-long city wall, which has made the city a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an experience in itself.
