ROOM FOR EVERYONE—AND ROOM TO BREATHE

MacDaddy offers approximately 8,000 square feet of heated living space, 10 bedrooms, nine bathrooms and 17 beds, comfortably accommodating large families and groups.

The three-level layout gives everyone space to gather without requiring everyone to be together every minute. Grandparents can enjoy a quieter area while children, teenagers and younger adults have spaces of their own. Multiple living areas, kitchens and outdoor gathering spaces allow different generations to follow their own rhythms while still sharing the vacation.

A new state-of-the-art elevator makes moving between levels easier for older family members, guests with limited mobility and anyone carrying luggage or groceries. The flat two-acre property also provides an easy walk from the house to the pool and lake.

Fresh mattresses and comfortable bedding help ensure that everyone gets the rest they need after a full day on Lake Gaston.

MEALS TOGETHER MATTER

One of the best parts of a family vacation is getting everyone around the table.

Fully equipped kitchens are available on all three levels (half kitchen on lower level), making it easy to prepare large family meals, snacks for the children or morning coffee without waiting on someone upstairs.

MacDaddy also includes seven full-size refrigerators positioned throughout the property, including near the pool and boathouse, along with two commercial ice makers. Large groups can store a full week’s food and drinks without constantly running out of refrigerator space or ice.

Prefer to cook outside? The outdoor kitchen includes an oversized Blaze grill and a 36-inch Blackstone griddle, with propane included. If interested, we can also provide information about local chefs and catering services after you book as well as our favorite restaurants to boat to.

YOUR PRIVATE POOL AND WELLNESS RETREAT

The pool area is one of the places where MacDaddy truly brings generations together.

The custom heated pool offers sunny and shaded areas, comfortable seating and a beautiful waterfall spa. Parents can enjoy the water with their children while grandparents relax nearby and remain part of the fun.

Pool heat is included at no additional charge, and the pool and hot tub are available throughout the year.

Our newest resort-style experience is MacDaddy’s Fire & Ice area:

THE BOATHOUSE: YOUR LIVING ROOM ON THE WATER

The two-level MacDaddy boathouse is much more than a place to dock a boat.

The lower level feels like an outdoor living room directly over Lake Gaston, with comfortable furniture, a television, refrigerator and plenty of space for family members to relax, talk, fish or watch a game together.

The upper level provides another beautiful gathering area with expansive lake views and luxury decking that stays more comfortable underfoot during hot summer days.

Some guests begin and end every day here—morning coffee while the lake is quiet, an afternoon watching the children play and evening drinks as the sun goes down.

LAKE GASTON AT YOUR DOORSTEP

MacDaddy sits directly on Lake Gaston, a 20,000-acre lake stretching approximately 34 miles along the North Carolina–Virginia border.

The lake offers boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, wakeboarding and waterskiing, along with plenty of quiet coves for exploring and relaxing the 350-miles of shoreline.

MacDaddy’s gentle shoreline and private beach area make it easy to launch the included kayaks and paddleboards. The gradual lake entry is especially convenient for families with younger children.
After dark, underwater fishing lights turn the water around the boathouse into a natural aquarium, attracting fish and creating an experience guests of every age enjoy.

AN OPTIONAL LUXURY TRITOON

A luxury tritoon boat may be available to MacDaddy guests as a separate rental.

The boat is not included with the home and requires an additional charge, a separate agreement and qualified operators.

Outside the primary summer season, MacDaddy is also an exceptional setting for leadership meetings, sales retreats and corporate gatherings.

Multiple living areas allow teams to meet in smaller groups, while the large common spaces bring everyone together. The pool, sauna, cold plunges, golf range, boathouse, firepit and lake activities create natural opportunities for team building and informal conversations.

For exceptionally large groups, the five-bedroom home next door to the MacDaddy may also be available for rent.

It is independently owned and unaffiliated with MacDaddy, but it can provide convenient overflow sleeping accommodations for groups that need up to 15 bedrooms between the two properties.
