Der Besitzer des Hauses ist sehr nett und hat viel Spannendes über das Haus und seine Familiengeschichte zu erzählen. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, man fühlt sich tatsächlich wie in einem Museum. Überall findet man Gemälde, Bilder und Bücher der Familie. Jeden Morgen findet man einen liebvoll gedeckten Frühstückstisch vor und man kann sich dann selbst bedienen. Die Küche darf jeder Gast benutzen und auch auf Sonderwünsche bezüglich des Frühstücks wird eingegangen. Abstriche muss man in Bezug auf Sauberkeit der Zimmer machen. Es ist nicht dreckig, aber die Zimmer sind vollständig mit Teppich ausgelegt und hier und da ziemlich staubig und ein bisschen siffig. Aber dies stört nicht weiter, da das Haus es durch seinen Charme wieder ausgleicht. Laut Aussage des ehemaligen Besitzers ist das Haus eine "Non-Profit-Organization", da es einer Stiftung gehört, die sich für Kinder engagiert. Das lässt über die kleinen Mängel bezüglich sauberkeit hinwegschauen. Die Terasse mit dem Pool ist wunderschön und bietet einen tollen Ausblick. Ingesamt kann man sich dort nur wohl fühlen. Ich würde das Guesthouse jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Wichtig zu wissen: Man benötigt in der Gegend unbedingt ein Auto, da das Haus schon ziemlich weit außerhalb liegt. Es sind mit dem Auto ca. 25 Minuten nach Lissabon sowie nach Sintra.
