We liked the Hotel overall. Some details were not perfect, for example the bathroom could be in a better condition. The a la carte breakfast was very good but very small portions. All in all a good hotel for 1-2 nights to explore the Etna area.

We were wine tasting for 3 days around the north side of Mt Etna. Hotel in a great location. The town of Linguaglossa is a little slow and limited. But this was shoulder reason. Staff was excellent- eager to please and very responsive

Our stay at Shalai was outstanding from start to finish. We received a warm welcome from a genuinely friendly and professional team. The hotel is set in a beautifully restored historic mansion on a quiet street, creating a peaceful and elegant atmosphere. Check-in was effortless. Our online check-in was fully recognized, so there was no need to repeat the process. No credit card was requested and payment was deferred until checkout, which was a pleasant surprise. The reception staff kindly introduced us to the hotel, showing the restaurant, lounge areas and spa services. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, with a king-size bed, excellent linens and towels, high-quality amenities, and complimentary water, coffee and tea. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had perfect water pressure and temperature. Although the hotel has no elevator, reaching the first-floor rooms via two short flights of stairs was easy. There is no private parking, but plenty of free street parking is available nearby, including spaces directly in front of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, offering fresh fruit, yogurt, drinks and coffee, while all hot dishes are prepared à la carte, with delicious options such as croissants, eggs, omelets and sandwiches. The staff was consistently attentive, welcoming and professional. Our only suggestion would be to include hair conditioner among the bathroom amenities. Apart from that small detail, everything exceeded our expectations.

This hotel was a "wow" all around. The photos don't do it justice: 1) The area: the town it was in is super cute. Everyone knows one another in the area. Views of Etna were incredible. Just a very beautiful region of sicily. 2) The service: the front desk helped us book a helicopter tour of etna. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, it was fantastic! 3) Spa: Wow wow wow - beautiful turkish bath, and you get it all to yourself with the fee. My husband and I enjoyed this immensely! 4) Restaurant: Probably the best meal we had in sicily. Incredibly creative, beautifully plated dishes. Props to the chef! 5) The rooms - baroque revival, with hand painted ceilings, just amazing. Comfy beds and nice rainfall showers in bathroom.

We had a truly lovely time at Shalai. They came recommended by friends who stayed earlier in summer. The hospitality was amazing. Marta and her team were so helpful. We loved their dining recommendation and the resort itself was so well maintained and comfortable. Amazing breakfast and we used the Spa features and treatments as a special treat and we are so glad we did.Not something we normally indulge in but it was a special occasion and was well worth it- great value. We wish we could have stayed a little longer to explore the Etna wine country but are really happy we were able to visit for the time we did.

O Shalai Resort superou todas as expectativas. O staff respondeu nossos emails quase instantaneamente antes mesmo do check-in — e esse cuidado nos acompanhou durante toda a estadia. O hotel ocupa um antigo casarão residencial, em rua tranquila. Sem elevador, mas sem necessidade: quartos no primeiro andar, tudo muito acessível. Estacionamento não é problema, com vagas generosas nas ruas próximas. O check-in foi impecável: o processo online foi totalmente respeitado, sem cartão de crédito exigido na chegada e com pagamento postergado para o checkout — algo inédito para mim. Fomos recebidos com uma apresentação completa do hotel, incluindo restaurante, salão de relaxamento, spa e massagem. Quarto confortável com cama king, enxoval de qualidade, amenities caprichados e água, café e chás gratuitos. O chuveiro foi um destaque — água farta e temperatura precisa. O café da manhã é farto: frutas, iogurtes, bebidas e café em máquina. Os pratos quentes são à la carte: ovos, omeletes, croissants, sanduíches. Único ponto a melhorar: falta condicionador para cabelo nos amenities. Recomendo sem ressalvas!

Cosa si può scrivere di questa struttura, se non magnificare l'eccellenza? Veramente difficile trovare il classico "pelo nell'uovo". Abbiamo usato la SPA (ad uso esclusivo), abbiamo cenato al ristorante (decisamente tra i top dell'intera Sicilia), abbiamo goduto di una sistemazione confortevole e rilassante. Questa è una delle "experience" da provare almeno una volta nella vita.

la stanza era molto bella ma abbiamo avuto il problema con la doccia… una stanza ed un hotel così di lusso con la tenda in plastica…. a parte che “rovinava” il tema della stanza lussuosa… ma poi, ha portato ad allagare tutto il bagno e parte della camera da letto.. peccato, per il resto veramente tutto eccellente, tutto pulito, il ristorante ottimo e il personale super disponibile, ci tornerei decisamente, consiglio solo la modifica di questo dettaglio della doccia, per il resto tutto eccellente
