Solid Place to Stay

I recommend staying here if you need a good cheap room that is clean and welcoming. The only reason why I only give 4 stars is because some maintenance is lacking. But it didn’t detract from my night sleep. See photos.

Do NOT waste your time!

Check in was smooth, however when he had to erase the room number from the key envelope and wrote ours in….that was tacky. Initial impression of the room was not good. The mini fridge and microwave looked like someone beat them with a baseball bat. There were stains all over the lamp shade, a blue (what looked like toothpaste) stain on the white (not so white) comforter, a random hair, and a makeup stain on the other one. The last straw for me was using the restroom and there was visible hair clogging the drain, she shower was dirty where I would not have even felt clean showering there, and all the towels were far from white! We stayed long enough to change and get ready for our dinner reservation, and checked out within 40 minutes. Thank goodness there were other hotels to stay or we would have been driving home!!! When I checked out the gentleman seemed confused but not enough to care to ask why we were leaving so soon. Online reviews and photos were very misleading and I would have never even considered booking if I had known even half of the things we would encounter. Also the neighborhood isn’t very family friendly as it’s adjacent to an adult Romantix store!!! I understand “you get what you pay for” but this wasn’t even with the 80 dollars I wasted!!!

My husband and I were just passing through and stayed one night. This was our first time at Horizon Hotel and we were pleasantly impressed. The bed was really comfortable and was able to get a good nights rest before having to travel again the next day.

Affordable stay near highway

This is a very cheap motel right off the highway and is convenient to pull into. Room service available is that Domino’s will deliver to your room. It was clean and breakfast was minimal but decent offerings for what you pay. There was obvious repair to previous damage in both rooms (the desk in our room and the bathroom door in my husband’s parent’s room. However, for what they charge I don’t think they have the funds for improvements. All in all, if you’re looking for a low cost option for 1-night while driving through, this does the job.

We had a good stay at the hotel. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived. It is in a slightly run down area of town. Adult book store right next door and some abandoned buildings. There was a McDonald's a short walk away. Traveling with older children was fine, but I don't think I would want to stay there with younger kids due to the surroundings, not the hotel itself.
