Poor facilities

Location of hotel is great, right in the centre of town, clubs, restaurants bars within walking distance. The room is very dated, the bathroom is really poor, especially old dirty looking shower curtains. Staff are welcoming. No lounge to chill out, breakfast room is tiny and not welcoming.

Nice one night stay

Last minute late night booking to this hotel as we needed a place to sleep overnight. The receptionist welcomed us and was very friendly. The condition of the room was average- can’t complain really for the price - you get what you pay for, but it was a decent room for one night just to sleep.

Handy for a stopover.

I just stayed for one night. The hotel is very handily situated opposite the station. Access at street level is just a door and then up the stairs. It doesn't look luke much but the room I was in was absolutely fine, with a small shower room.

Hotel de Londres, Lille

Friendly staff and an easy check in experience. Room had been recently re-furbished. Check out was as easy as check in. Be sure to look carefully as it is initially difficult to spot the hotel sign between the adjoining bar signs.

In need of maintenance

The hotel is situated on the first floor and has a staircase but no lift from street level, therefore if you have a heavy suitcase it has to be carried up the steps. The room was extremely cramped. There was no rack for the suitcase, chair or table. The light above the headboard had no bulb or shade and there were exposed wires. The TV could not pick up a signal and was therefore useless. The seats on the WC pedestal could not be put in a position whereby they remained in place when lifted. Not perhaps too much of a problem for a woman but it is for a man.

Perfect position

I stayed only 1 night with my boyfriend and we found the hotel very cost and with a perfect location. The pressure of the shower wasn't the best but as 2 stars hotel, Hotel de Londres, was a very good deal. The people at the reception were very nice and available. I definitely recommend it!

Good, basic, clean, well located hotel. Hard to find though as had to ask a few people before found the door that leads up to the hotel reception. It would help if hotel had provided directions.

Horrible Staff

We booked for 80 euros and he tried to charge us 100. He wouldnt listen to us about the number of rooms and was rude, even when he was proven wrong. The website said hair dryers, there werent any.

Close to station and great coffee shop downstairs

Hotel room Was small, the shower head didn't have a bracket to mount the nozzle to, and there were stains on the toilet- they should really put a new toilet in, there were also holes that hadn't been filled in the bathroom of room 13, but value for money? 50 euro per night? Potentially yes. You get what you pay for. But one good thing is that the hotel reception was great when he came to let us in at 4am after a night out, he probably wasn't inpresed but when you are the type of hotel who takes your keys off you prior to going out, you would expect him to let you in when you felt like coming home.

Tiny room

The best thing of the hotel is its location, very close to train stations and conference venue buildings but it is very expensive for the service provided: the room was tiny and wifi connection was not great in the last floor

Very basichotel but very central for stations

Access to hotel is via a steep and narrow set of stairs. Reception basic - staff very laid back but friendly. Lift is like a coffin, can just about take two people and luggage - beware if you are large person! Room very simple and not roomy but clean and overlooked the Place de la Gare. Bathroom sliding door has no handle and threatens to remove itself from runners. Toilet very stained in bottom of the pan - needs some elbow grease. No soap dish in shower. TV provided but no access to English-speaking channels such as BBC world. Breakfast facilities not tested but there is a good coffee shop next door and many other places in the square which provide breakfast. This hotel is OK if you are looking for a basic no-frills place and just a place to sleep but is not the best 2* establishment I have stayed in.

Convienent hotel across from train station

We had a triple on the third floor (actually the fifth floor by American standards) facing the street. The view of the train station was spectacular. Despite the brasseries and coffee houses immediately below, the street was quiet at night. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful and stored our bags between check-out time and our afternoon departure.
