Wonderful 4 night stay. Perfect location in old town to explore by foot. Very walkable city. Short walk from EuroLille and Flanders stations. No need for cabs/public transport. Plenty of restaurants and bars in all directions. Right next to beautiful church (so magnificent we thought it was the cathedral) Quaint and quirky hotel. No needs unmet. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was wonderful. Thank you.

Friendly hotel in the middle of Lille downtown

The hotel is located in the old town of Lille. First, the good thighs: excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. I got an early breakfast with a full selection of delicious food, as I needed to leave early. My single-bed room was just opposite the elevator and loud from all sides. Also, all guests using the elevator or steps were to hear clearly. The ceiling creaked when guests walked above me, it was to hear all the flushing of the rooms around, and also from the outside, the street noises were loud till 1 a.m. The shower is suitable for thin guests only, as the entrance to it is very narrow. However, for a night to sleep over due to the general strike in France, it was just fine.

I normally love the Brughel, the staff and the feel of the hotel are generally excellent. This time I had a noisy room, lots of intrusive water noise from drains from showers and WC's in floors above. Ive stayed before but room 103 was a problem.

Very charming hotel with lovely front desk staff. Room was a twin room for my son and I and it was perfect. Not big (as expected) but it served our needs! Minutes from the train station which was perfect!

The hotel room was comfortable and relaxing. Please note, that this hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar as advertised, infact the receptionist told us, it hasn't had a bar for many years. The hotel is very near to the town, so restaurants can be reached very quickly. This area is busy and can become noisy during the evenings and night times. Lille is a walkable city and because we walked everywhere managed to have good night sleeps.

Overall the hotel is fine. The toilet is located in small closet. Bed was wonderful and is literally a couple minute walk from Flanders station. Lots of dinning options. Can be noisy outside and no air conditioning. It gets warm in hotel even on cool days. If you have the window open there is a lot of noise all hours. Great dinning and location.

The hotel was ‘quirky’ - lots of ephemera around - pictures, ornaments etc. But that is why we chose it.The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.The lift was from an another era, but in a good way. The breakfast was ok. It was situated within walking distance of the main tourist destinations.

Charming—with an elevator

We loved this charming place. It was a great location, the staff was wonderful, and it has an elevator—tiny, but it was great not to have to walk our luggage up several flights of stairs. We would definitely stay there again.

Characterful and friendly

Lovely little hotel in the historic centre of Lille. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room itself comfortable and clean (superior double). If like me you don't like the anonymity of the big chains, this characterful three star is a perfect solution.
