We had a good two night stay at Hilton Lille in December.
The location is practical when arriving with Eurostar with luggage as it is one minute away from the station. The city centre with the shops and restaurants is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The only place close by where you can eat close by is Le Barbier chi fume. There is no mini market in the area.
The people at the reception were friendly and always helpful, even though there was often a long queue to speak with them.
The room was big for French standards. We stayed in room 906. There was a busy road outside we didn't hear any noise, so they had a good sound insulation. There was a good amount of storage space. There was a kettle, a coffee maker, and an empty mini fridge.
The maintenance of the room was not satisfactory. We had an empty shower gel bottle and an empty body lotion bottle in the bathroom. We mentioned that at the reception and they got the shower gel bottle refilled but not the body lotion bottle. The coffee pods were not replaced for the second day but we did not complain about that as we did not need to make coffee in our room the second day. The small towels were taken away after the first night but not replaced. When I told at the reception and they organized them to be replaced. One of us put some used feminine hygiene products in the bin in the bathroom the first day, but the bin did not get emptied during our stay.
The breakfast was good and as can be expected at a Hilton hotel.
