A charming overnight stay

A charming spot well located for the seaside town of St Vaast, and only 25 minutes from the Cherbourg ferry. A warm welcome from the hosts. Plentiful breakfast which can be taken outside. Spotlessly clean, very peaceful even though on a main road (hardly any traffic in the evening) Lovely gardens to sit in or even have a takeaway supper. Good value. Would definitely return.

J’avais pourtant demandé une chambre supérieure, mais on m’a attribué une chambre en rez-de-chaussée qui ressemblait à une catégorie économique oubliée des années 70 : odeur d’humidité persistante, salle de bain minuscule et dans son jus, serviettes d’entrée de gamme. Pas d’acceuil. Pour un établissement noté au-dessus de 9/10, je m’attendais à tout autre chose. Il y a manifestement un décalage entre la réputation en ligne et la réalité sur place.
