Family holiday in Suisse Normandie
The area is beautiful. An unspoilt part of France that has much to offer. Jenny our host lives next door to this traditional gite. She met us on arrival and was hugely welcoming. Throughout our stay she advised things to do and places to eat. We kayaked, hiked, climbed and went on the luge. The gite has all things you might need to stay. We often cooked at home. WiFi was a little slow in some parts of the house but you just have to choose where to sit. 4g was very strong despite it being very rural.l so it didn’t really matter anyway if you have plenty of data.
To get bread milk etc is about 10 min drive. Not far but just country roads so you don’t go anywhere fast but you are on holiday so it didn’t matter. The gite is very rural but you can walk down to Clecy in about 45 mins (it’s down hill) although a bit rugged in places so need to be fairly sure footed. And back up is in part very up hill but worth it for the incredible views at the top of the cliff.
The gite was a good base for us and was plenty big enough for the 4 of us.
