Excellent Pool, Steam room, Jacuzzi!!

I haven't seen a better spa experience. The indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and the outdoor hot tub with the most amazing view is the best I have ever ever witnessed. I used to look forward to come back in time and make use of them. Breakfast spread is very diverse and delicious too. The service is top notch. Only a small gripe that got taken care of in no time. We booked a 'Comfort Double Room'. The pictures on hotel.com suggested that it has balcony with mountain view. When we reached there, they said we had an upgrade to a triple room, which was apparently bigged. However, after checking in we realized that the triple rooms was a bit stuffy and with no balcony. We requested a change and they were kind enough to do that.

I want to get the obvious out of the way…They are currently renovating all of the balconies. The ones that are complete - look beautiful. This did not bother us a bit because they are not putting people in those rooms and work stops at night anyway. It would be the only improvement I was going to mention. The staff at the desk (along with their “mascot” a very friendly black poodle) were very helpful and friendly. Location could not be better. We got off the train and had a two minute walk to the hotel entrance. That was awesome! Speaking of awesome - after hiking down to Laughterbrunnen and walking the valley it was amazing to come back and hop into the outdoor hot tub. It looks over the train station with great views of the mountains and surrounding area. We liked the size of the room and had plenty of space for our belongings without interfering with our other space. There were also some English speaking channels for unwinding in bed at night. The bathroom shower was a bit small but would definitely not be enough to keep us from coming back. As mentioned there is a nice hot tub. There is also a quiet solarium like place to relax as well as a full spa and an indoor pool that we really enjoyed as well. Oh! And I can’t forget the great staff that greeted us every morning for breakfast in the dining room. Always smiling and willing to talk. Breakfast is included by the way!! We definitely look forward to visiting again.

Loved this hotel!

They gave us a romantic set up with swab towels, tea light candles, and lots of chocolates for our honeymoon stay! The all the food was superb, location phenomenal, and staff were excellent! Wonderful, clean facilities! This was the perfect base point for exploring the area and visiting Jungfraujoch! Will definitely be staying again!

A scenic, great value and well located hotel

A great value stay at a lovely hotel with great views, food and staff. So handy for everything with reception just opposite the train station. Rooms a little dated but well maintained and very comfortable. Highly recommended, I will be back!

The Hotel is undergoing some renovations and parts of it are very tired. It is a good, clean, no frills 3 star. It was particularly disappointing that quite a few pieces of the gym equipment were broken, especially as a non-skier I wanted to use all of the gym kit and this was not possible

The best part about this property is its location a few steps from thr train station. You can't hear the train, dont worry. They are pretty quiet. Directly behind the hotel is the main street. The hotel is no frills, and serves its purpose as a hub for snow sports. There is no conditioner in the bathroom. The staff left a coffee cup and used spoon in our room for 2 days. The floors in the spa area are very slippery. I almost fell twice, once down the stairs to the jacuzzi area. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would stay here again strictly due to it's location. The rest of the town is uphill. You will need dinner reservations anywhere in this town or you're out of luck.

Best hotel and view. Not much choice for food after dark. There is also some construction.

The room we had was small, but nice and adequate for our needs. The breakfast buffet was good. We were hoping to use the spa but it closed early enough that we weren’t able to use it by the time we got back to the hotel after dinner.

I was nervous when we walked off the train to see the front of the hotel covered in scaffolding and repairs but we got a beautiful view of the mountain and town. The shower temperature would constantly change, luckily never too hot or too cold but it was strange. Large flat decorative pillows were the only pillow option. The man who checked us in and out was extremely nice, welcoming and friendly. The rest of the staff at front desk were reserved. Restaurant is pretty good.

Mountaintop oasis

Soo grateful for their service!!! Note to guests to read the email that you need to check in ahead of time and that they have specific hours for check-in because the town closes down around 10 PM. The most important fact is that we were late getting into the hotel past the check in time. There were several mountain passes that were closed, and the three hour trip turned into a five hour trip. Which was through the mountains in clouds in the pouring rain. We forgot to call ahead and check in early and make sure they knew we were arriving past the check in time, so were very nervous that we would not be able to check in. We had to take one of the last trains up the mountain past midnight and the town was so dark we had to use a iPhone light to find the hotel. No, that said it was our fault, but we walked in and the doors opened and they had a key ready for us, which was the best feeling ever. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which are well needed however the breakfast was outstanding and had a beautiful view. It had a pool and outdoor hot tub and was conveniently located steps within the train. The service is great. They helped us find good hikes to do and we just walked to the cable car from there to get further up to other mountainside villages and to Jungfraujoch which was a bit costly, but was worth every penny.
