Stay away from this property
Drove 5+hours only to arrive to this cabin which was filthy and nothing like the “nice pictures” on the site. We checked in, walked around and found open bags of food, toys, non-working lights, dirty floors, a trailer on the property which looked like someone was living in, and a non-maintained hot tub. We left within 15 minutes and stayed at a local hotel. Called the property manager, whom insisted that we were wrong and immediately got defensive about the situation. No refund offered which is fine by us… maybe take our money and clean the cabin so that it’s sanitary!

Simple and Great place to enjoy
Travelled with friends for the weekend and place is great and they had all the things what we needed at this place. Enjoyed the sit on the wrap around deck and the hot tub. Host made us aware of the some fall bugs which is good and understandable due to the fall time.

Fall trip with Kids & Grandkids!!!
Electric boxes exposed, towels were cheap & worn, no chairs for the fire pit, lower level had an unpleasant odor, downstairs bathroom door wouldn’t close. The porch was great!!! The neighbor had a scrap yard of junk 😲

Family Getaway
This property is located in a neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly enough but if you are looking for some privacy and no people around, this is not the place for you. It sleeps about 8 comfortably, we had 11 and it advertises sleeping 12. For as much as we spent to stay here, it was not very clean at all. I always look for a decent cleaning fee before I choose where to stay. This place had not been dusted or vacuumed for some time and it was fairly obvious. I know the caretaker lives right nearby, but disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin. It has lots of potential to really be a great cabin, there are no hooks for towels anywhere, dead hornets in all window wells, not even sure if the sheets were clean on some of the beds, we changed them when we got there. The trash never was picked up while we were there, and we stayed 5 nights and it was full when we got there so there was lots of animals getting into our trash because we didn't have anywhere to put it. The owner was very quick to reply to me when I texted through the app and the deck on the house was a huge game changer for a general hang out location since there really isn't any place like that in the cabin.

Family vacation
The good: Elizabeth is very responsive. There are amenities for younger children (toddler dishes, high chair, & pack & play) and a plethora of kids toys and books. Location is an easy 20-30mins drive from the main Hocking Hills sites. Lastly, the housekeeper, Stacey, is located very close, very nice/personable, and was able to come assist us with some of our needs (Wi-Fi issues and bug problems) within minutes. The bad: Due to the lack of weather stripping on the exterior doors, there were an abundance of insects (primarily flies) that came into the house. The first night we killed about 15-20 flies. Yes, the property is located in the woods and bugs are expected but this was another level. Note: Elizabeth & Stacey did respond and added temporary weather stripping and gave us a bottle of Raid, although we did not use due to little ones. There was room for improvement on the cleanliness of the house. Example, dead insects on the majority of the window sills and on the carpet, and noticed the sheets were not all clean. Specifically, my daughter pulled back the sheets on the top bunk and found a couple of dead bugs and a dirty sock. Lastly several safety issues: the sliding barn door on the kids room has no safety feature preventing it from being knocked off the rail. The balcony has some safety concerns with how it is built/supported. Also, a small child could slip through the the 6” spaced guard rail columns. Overall a good vacation and made some wonderful memories

Awesome place to stay for a week of hunting!
My buddies and I stayed for a week and it was a great experience. The owner was very accomodating and kept in touch the entire time. The property had some neighbors who were super friendly and the house was perfect for our group. It actually snowed a couple days while we were there which was a first for our group of Florida boys. Definitely consider this place if you're thinking of hunting in Tar Hollow or surrounding area.
