The good - good location & close to everything. The bad - older rooms that have not been maintained in a while. Our shower would not drain so I was showering with water up to my ankles. Gross! Towels had yellow stains on them. Carpet seemed 20 years old. Sheets were gross. Courtyard was nice but that's about it.

The hotel was beautiful, the whole place gave you the hacienda in a novela vibe. Just very old school Mexico, beautiful plants and flowers all around. I loved being in the heart of the historic district of Laredo.

The room was ok. It’s a lot of things not really specified before booking like the shared balcony. River view will have to be something you can choose and actually get not just leave a note on a regular room. Although it’s luxurious it’s very unsafe if you’re not just staying within the hotel. YOU CAN NOT WALK AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE PROPERTY AT ALL. Don’t listen to the UBER OR LYFT DRIVER TRYING TO TAKE YOU INTO MEXICO.

I had to stay in the Posada since I was a kid for the last 45 years but this time I will say the hotel still remains an icon in Laredo as well kept peaceful, clean, quiet, but the service needs to be addressed. Customer service is not what it used to be front desk just barely minimum doing the service the bar and restaurant the lady is like she’s making you a favor for her for you to stay in the hotel so basically the hotel is still a nice place nevertheless competition is first and customer service supposed to be better or oriented for being a little bit more friendly. I would say that.
