Initially booked a 'junior suite' which turned out to be just a slightly larger than normal room, but located below the ground floor near the car park. Dingy and noisy, unfortunately the room also had seriously grubby walls and mould in the bathroom. Some of the furniture was badly chipped and scuffed. Not impressed.
On return (already paid for) I sought a garden view room on the second floor. It was great. Much nicer with balcony and view if smaller. Ironically, while in much better condition it was cheaper! Java, your junior suites are inferior rooms!
Staff were helpful and driver Joel was excellent - safe, efficient, courteous. He fully redeemed the hotel's reputation on a couple of long drives.
Food was not bad, if a bit limited especially at breakfast. A few more healthy choices would be good.
All in all I'd go back, as long as I got the better (cheaper) room!
