We arrived at the hotel after a 14 hour drive. We were tired and wanted to get some sleep. There was noise coming from other rooms which made it difficult to sleep. The room had some newer furnature but overall the room was in need of maintenance. The toilet rocked back and forth of the floor, making noise when used. We paid extra for a lake view room, but most of the view is looking at the back of the buildings between the hotel and the water. The room had a door to allow for a connecting room, but you could see into the other room under the door, and increased noise between rooms. It was a bit creepy to see other next door walk by. In the morning, we wanted to sleep in and our room was across from the employees area and they were in the hall talking and making noise in the morning making it impossible to get sleep. I was expecting more out a place that calls itself a resort, but it turned out to be an old hotel that needs some work.

When arriving at the hotel was told that what we reserved wasn’t available that our area was closed for maintenance. No inside pool no hot tub no lakeview room as booked and was confronted with wanting 100$ deposit for possible damages instead of offering discount with inconveniences.

The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. We forgot a bag of laundry in our room when we checked out and they called us within minutes to come back to retrieve it. The owners of the attached Encore Restaurant stopped by our table and chatted with us at dinner. Good food and friendly staff all around.

Wheelchair ramp accessibility was on point with the Resort. The building used to host weddings looked very clean and organized. It was closed due to our visit during the off season. Clean parking lots shows that great care goes into the Resort. Will definitely come back next time!
