VRBO host was wonderful! Very responsive and gave value pricing for the area that was devastated by Helene. Sent my parents as an anniversary gift trip and Bob helped me talk through accommodations for them! Lovely - cozy cabin with reastauants nearby.

Very cute modern log cabin. I am very happy to say i saw a couple dusty web strands but no bugs/spiders at all! The cabin is modern as in well sealed and insulated from temperature and noise and bugs. The wood work inside is absolutely beautiful! And the air conditioning worked great. Roomy, spacious, and worked out well for us. Main floor is a master bedroom with attached bathroom and two more bedrooms wirh a common full bath. There is also a nice recreation room downstairs with a foosball table, pool table, ping pong table and hockey table along with couches and lots of windows. It also has a dock although at the moment the lake is drained. That created no issue for as we weren't there for the lake but something to be aware of until its dealt with. It also has a barbecue and dining table outside and the cabin is fully stocked with utensils including BBQ.All in all a great relaxing 'base camp for us and i would highly recommend.

The house was wonderful. The lake; however, was gone. This was ok tho bc the owner advised us of this when I booked. We went to support the community. What we did not know was the amount of noise that started at 4 AM until dark with 4 - 8 big rig trucks every minute, riding jake brakes around the curves to the bottom of the hill. I was able to use ear plugs to get appropriate sleep. The area is beautiful and the vendors are in need of tourist to get them on their feet again.

Thank you so much to Bob for a wonderful experience in Lake Lure!!! The cabin was spotless when we arrived, Wifi was great, and he provided the sweetest handmade soaps. The free breakfast was absolutely above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. We could not have asked for a better trip.

The entire place was beautiful. The owner was exceptional! There were no issues at all. There was a couple of pool cues broke and a missing air hockey puck but he was working to correct any issues/concerns during the entire stay. Very responsive and insightful!

Great experience! While we were disappointed we weren't able to fully enjoy Lake Lure (due to the recovery from Helene), we were happy to come visit the area and support the local businesses while they work to rebuild. The property was convenient to many attractions and activities and Bob is an A host.

Bob offered a reduced price for folks to use his home in a town that is struggling after the hurricane deviation. It was an honor to spend out vacation to help this towns economy. Great home and property

We really enjoyed the property. Everything you need is right there. Enjoy the game room in the basement was really great. I do wish that the lake hadn’t been drained, but we still had a good time.

Fun Family trip

The cabin was great, can’t imagine how pretty it would all be if the lake was at normal capacity. The basement games and area kept us busy. Real close to the town and grocery store. We were able to go hiking as well. What a neat area. We plan to come back for sure and would definitely stay here again.

Lake House Dream

My son and I usually stay in Chimney Rock- but due to the destruction of Chimney Rock that was not possible- we decided to stay in Lake Lure to help the community. This Lake House was such a cool change for us. There is a whole floor devoted to games like pool, ping pong and foosball. My 14 year old loved this. We spent a lot of time playing. The house itself is quite lovely. It was super clean and didn’t feel like a rental. The furniture is rustic with a southwestern vibe which I loved.The living room is cozy and looks out into the lake. The kitchen is well appointed and a great size. The bedrooms are super comfy and dark which is great for a good nights sleep. We sure would love to come back again when it gets warmer! This is really a wonderful place to stay

Amazing Christmas vacation

Lake lure took a big hit to the storm. But this cabin had all we needed to keep us occupied during our stay. Restaurants and some shops are open. Loved how everyone is so open to helping each other. House was so lovely, owner was very accommodating. Anytime I had a question. I texted him personally. He responded very quickly. I highly recommend this house. We will come back.
