the hotel is beautiful, clean! The room was very nice, clean all the time!! About Avani, there was always something, it was very cold in the pool area, the coffee machine only worked for a few hours and broke, the last 2 times I was at Avani the coffee machine didn't work :((( I have nothing to complain about the staff, they always clean, bring clean towels, or collect wet towels, they are very nice!!!

The resort had a lot of family friendly amenities, but the spa staff were rude and the spa was overcrowded (overbooked?) The hallways were really cold and there was no “free breakfast” (not sure why I was asks about that?)

I used to love staying on this hotel but this vacations was really bad first day of my stay the pool was closed because someone popped on it then all the kids were on the jacuzzi playing with the balls that were on the pool then i went to the front desk to talk to them about this then the receptionist was really rude and he told me that the they sent and email to let everybody know but I didn’t get one then i told hime he can check if they sent me a n email he realized that my name wasn’t in the list then he apologized too late! well that pass next day i went to the pool again but i didn’t went in to the pool i stayed in the jacuzzi then a big guy jumped in to the pool i think he hit the ground or something he came out with his arm bleeding he didn’t notice and came in to the jacuzzi soo bad experience never going back they have staff to watch but they were inside the office talking to each other instead of watching the pool.

I’ve been coming to the Abbey since the 1980s. We recently had a 2-night stay. The first night, our room was on the second floor in building 6, which made it very hard to keep warm due to the vaulted ceilings. We also requested a room with a bathtub in the shower, but none were available. It was comfortable enough to work remotely in the room at the desk. On the second day, our new neighbors were extremely loud, yelling and swearing, so we requested a new room. The next room on the first floor in building 5 was a lot warmer. We appreciated the quick accommodation to our request. We ate at the Waterfront for dinner, where the hostess was quite accommodating, ensuring we had a seat we liked and were warm enough, since part of the restaurant was mostly windows. The food was pretty good. Our waiter seemed rushed. Breakfast at the 240 West restaurant was sub par. The buffet had some variety, and the fruit was exceptionally fresh and delicious. My husband ordered an omelet for his meal, but sent it back because it was pretty liquidy. They took that off the bill for us. We didn’t try the pool or hot tub because there were a lot of families, and kids in the hot tub.
