Hotel was clean and immaculate shape. Rooms were nice and clean. Linens were fresh and clean as well. Casino was fun and lively and did not smell like smoke, the dealers and pit bosses were nice and polite. The food, that is another story. First night we ate at Chart House, we sent back the crab cakes due to being undercooked and basically raw. Wife ordered the scallops which were undercooked and I ordered the redfish with the Pontchartrain topping. Presentation was terrible and dish was a mess, but taste was good, the shrimp was WAY overcooked. Next night was Vic and Anthonys, now we have eaten at the original in Houston and had the same expectation. Granted this was before Landry's bought them, but still! Ok our appetizers (which were 45 minutes after ordering) were Lobster Bisque, and my wife ordered the pear salad. My bisque was really good (little did I know it would be the highlight of the evening) and my wife's salad I would swear was just taken off another table and given to her it looked picked through and awful. Then came the steak, oh boy, it was overcooked, we ordered medium plus and received well done, it was 3/4" thick not the 1.5" we were used to getting at steakhouses of this caliber. I've had better steaks at chilis. The entire night was awful. Draft kings were the highlight. We went thier for lunch the next day was great. Waitress was attentive, food was excellent. All in all very disappointing and we will be going to lauberge next time.
