The pool was under repair so a large part of it was closed. This was not communicated when we booked the nonrefundable stay. Additionally, the beach in from of the resort was not accessible without walking for several minutes to the end of the barriers- this was due to their very appropriate and laudable efforts to counter erosion that has occurred and protect the environment, but again, this should have been noted before submitting a nonrefundable payment. There are plenty of choices in this area, and I feel that there was some inaccurate representation of their facility. The room was lovely and the staff were great - but the enormous amount I paid was not appropriate for what we encountered. Finally, Expedia did not include the resort fees in their offer and this was another $500. I will probably not use expedia again
