The room was spotless although the deck chairs could use an upgrade. The staff was AMAZING, making up for any flaws in the accommodations. We watched the staff clean and groom the grounds daily. The property was very well maintained!! The front desk also assisted us in a friendly manner.

Beautiful condo and beautiful property! We weren’t originally booked to stay here, our original accommodation fell through hours before leaving for the airport and we rebooked here very last minute and we couldn’t be happier with this place! 100% recommend to anyone and we will stay here again if we ever come back to Maui!

We loved our stay at Papakea! It was clean & quiet. Our room was spacious for two. We loved having a kitchen that was well equipped with the dishes we would need. The balcony was beautiful & we loved having coffee & dinner out there each day. There was plenty of parking at the resort. The resort was beautiful & had plenty of seating to sit near the sea wall or at the pool. There wasn’t really a “beach” on our side of the resort, you could walk down a bit if you wanted. But the views & vibes were unbelievable. There was food trucks & some restaurants that were walkable from the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here & if we ever came back to Maui we’d stay here again.

Resort grounds were great, clean and very manicured. The room was very clean, our unit had a couple issues like bedroom fan not working, and showers would not drain quick. Other than that everything was nice. It says online there is a gym but it is actually at the neighbouring hotel and it says for a “Fee” we never looked more into that. Pools were clean, lots of shopping around and the best cinnamon bun we have ever had just outside the property

We have stayed at this property regularly for over 40 years and we love it. The only issue we had was that we had reserved a ground floor unit. When we got there we were placed on the second floor. Apparently there was some major remodeling going on which made most of the ground floor units unavailable. It would have been nice to know this in advance.

The staff was wonderful. The view was amazing. I wish the pool opened earlier. It is open from 9am-10pm. Early morning swim would have been nice. But otherwise, it was just beautiful. Will definitely book again.

A208 was terrific. We loved the view and the sound of ocean and accessibility to the beach. Would love to see a few more hooks in place to hang towels and some written information about sites and where to go etc. - like a welcome notebook

Very clean and friendly. The master bedroom having huge windows facing the ocean was a beautiful surprise. I would stay here again, however, the only thing missing, that would've made it a 5 star review, would be to add A/C to both bedrooms. It was very hot in the rooms at night.

Staying in this resort feels more like staying in a condo. The space l stayed in included a bedroom with a comfy king sized bed, a bathroom with a shower (no tub), a very nice, fully stocked kitchen, a small dining area and a living room with a tv, stereo and murphy bed, and a lanai overlooking the pool, and a great view of the ocean. It is nothing real fancy, but l really enjoyed it. I have friends that were staying in a nearby resort, and that was a RESORT. It was incredibly fancy, BUT it was soooo busy with a ton of people. At Papakea, it was very quiet which l loved. There was only ever a handful of people in the pool, sometimes none. There was constantly people working around the grounds cleaning, taking care of plants, etc, which was nice. The koi ponds are beautiful. The tiki torches at night are a really fun touch. Everything was very clean and the room was fully stocked with everything you need. I don’t know if every room has this, but mine had 2 boogie boards and 2 beach chairs which was fun! We didn’t have to rent them. There is no valet or people to help take your bags to your room, and where you park may be a little of a jaunt, but Papakea is definitely a place to consider staying for your vacation. Everyone l encountered here was so nice. I would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I absolutely love Papakea. We stayed there ten times since 2003 and the great guest service and the property’s cleanliness has been consistent over the years. It is highly recommended and we plan on going back numerous more times.
