We love this resort. Apartments are spacious are gorgeously decorated. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Only thing we did not like was the checkout at 10am which we consider was too early.

We had a great stay at Belmar. We stayed in an apartment style unit including a laundry machine which was incredibly useful as part of our 2nd leg of our Portugal trip. Overall it was very spacious. Facilities and amenities at the resort like the pool, gym, and spa were very good. It was also extremely close to the beach and to a really fresh seafood restaurant. Finally the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had including a variety of fresh fruit! I left one star off for the following reasons. 1)In unit air conditioning is quite old and had a bit of a musty smell in one of them. 2) really not picking here, but the bed in one of my units was extremely hard and the pillows were very worn out and could use some replacement. 3) TV has a lot of channels but the actual tv is quite old and doesn't have modern features. This one is just nit picking because we are obviously not picking a hotel based on their TV. I am so glad I picked this resort as it was truly so relaxing to stay here and it has more than I expected. It was also close to old town Lagos via driving.

Belmar is NOT a true 4-star hotel. It's more of a chalet or rental apartment near the beach, with no hotel-level service- no towel changes, cleaning, or luggage assistance. Pillows are uncomfortable, furniture is basic. Be aware the advertised main hotel is misleading-there are two other compounds with no sea view or any design. False advertising at its best. The only positive is the peaceful location and proximity to a beautiful beach. Book if you want an apartment, otherwise avoid the disappointment and look for a real 4-star. If you find this review helpful, thumbs up. Thank you

I really enjoyed my stay at the property. Short walk to the beach, beach restaurants and beautiful cliff side hike/walking trail. Quick Uber ride to the town center and marina. On site restaurant was excellent.

Fabulous hotel! Great amenities! Loved the pool area and proximity to a gorgeous beach! Excellent restaurant! We were very happy with our stay at Belmar and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Lagos.

Well maintained property, comfortable accommodations. Would have preferred a ceiling shower as opposed to a hand held. Otherwise water pressure was good. Nice sit out area. We stayed in a studio apartment.

The property is close to the beach and the area around is pretty and safe. Our air condition did not work and the management was not helpful in fixing it. In the end, it did not get fixed

We had a wonderful stay! The location is peaceful, just a 3-minute walk from a beautiful beach. The pool was also excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Highly recommended!

first, I wanna say that this is in response to my expectations. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s everybody’s expectations. The hotel seems a little lifeless. I think they were looking for peace and tranquility, but it just feels empty the service, well there was no service. it does say that there’s a concierge at the desk, but it’s basically people that don’t want to be bothered. There’s no introduction. There’s no hello. There’s no welcome. There’s no thank you for staying with us no greeting and frankly the people working behind the counter we’re very I don’t wanna say rude but standoffish and not helpful. They act as if I was burdening them when I would ask a question as easy as how far is the beach from here. So they started off in the wrong foot. I do want to say that the rooms were very nice and clean, but not all the appliances work. I went to use the blender and it did not work when I went to the front desk to tell them they said OK I asked for a replacement and never got it the first night my partner got bit. We don’t know what where it came from so the next morning I asked for all the sheets to be changed and the front desk told me it was not my rooms day of the week to change sheets. I kindly asked them to change the sheets due to an insect bite and then they obliged. For this being afour star resort or a high-end resort, the towels were old dingy and rough. The sheets were 100% cotton so rough for my liking, but they were cleaned after cleaned. The End.
