To enter the Puerta Azul Gate you will need to be on Madison Street Not Jefferson. You will NOT be able to access the gate on Jefferson.
Follow Madison down and go past the streetlight “Airport Blvd”. The gate can be found 2nd gate down on the RIGHT.
Take a RIGHT on Via Puerta Azul Str.
The community will be labeled Puerto Azul and will have blue gates.
There will be a keypad for you to enter the code.
NOTE:
If you find that there is no keypad to enter the gate code you have gone too far and will need to go back to the first gate. Take Paseo del Lago Street which will feed you into the correct gate.

Fantastic, well-appointed property
This was home base for our family (2 adults, 1 teen) while in town for a two week event at Desert Horse Park. The house was clean, had everything we needed and was in a great location. We loved the security of the property, the ability to park in the garage and how quiet the neighborhood was. We would stay again!

Desert house
This is a clean property but the owners are not responsive to the property management company. They require a huge deposit (which is not mentioned in the listing) and send a very demanding contract that states that no music can be played outside and that there will be fines assessed and people will drive by and record if they hear music. We felt spied on the whole time. Also there was no coffee or k cups provided which would have been nice. There was a note about using the pitcher purified water in the fridge but no such pitcher existed. The gates to the backyard were locked so the only way to enter the backyard was through the house (fire hazard?). We tried to bbq one night and the lights outside didn't work. The electrical panel was also locked. We contacted the property manager who attempted to give us codes to unlock the breaker but nothing worked. She came by the next day but still couldn't figure out why the lights didn't work. We barbequed in the dark but didn't spend much time outside as we were concerned we were being spied on based on the contract. Beware if you rent this house that outside socializing is not an option. Our family enjoys music and our trip was affected by the restrictions and lack of light in the backyard. The property manager was great and responsive but the owners never were able to give her any info that was helpful. Spending your vacation trying to figure out why things aren't working is not fun.

Comfy 2B/2B near Lake Cahuilla
We enjoyed the stay in late March - it was perfect for 2 adults & 2 kids. The putting green and foosball were big highlights for our kids. Wished the pool nearby had its heater working, but found another pool further away that was warm and comfortable.

Puerta Azul
House was clean and well outfitted except for television. The location is ideal. A significant issue is the television. There is no cable package but some streaming services are available. The problem is there is no way to watch local TV channels for local news and weather which is a serious disadvantage and arguably a safety hazard. This could all be solved with a simple inexpensive HD antena. I'd have brought one along had I known the issue we'd have. I wouldn't recommend renting the property unless the renter brings a laptop and HDMI cable for streaming their own services and an HD antena for local TV.

Nice stay
We had a nice time, this condo has high ceilings and is spacious but because the windows are tinted, ( great for summer) it felt a little dark. We enjoyed the pool area. Make sure to get a key for the front gate because you cannot exit the gate by bike or on foot without a key. The property manager was excellent and addressed all our needs immediately.
