Upon entering the property it was very apparent it had not been cleaned. There was crumbs everywhere, rubbish and dried old food all over the floor, the bath has dirt in it, the beds had dog hair all over them and the toilet seat was cracked and broken with a gap where some had been snapped off, leaving a sharp edge exposed. I got in touch with the ‘concierge’ service and was just told ‘we will let the owners know as they were the last ones there before you’ I replied saying that the property still should have been checked over and made sure it was of a certain standard. I was just told that they shouldn’t have had to check as it’s the owners responsibility to leave it clean. There was no offer to come and clean it, or replace the toilet seat. After 2 days I asked again for someone to replace the toilet seat, as I have 2 young children and the sharp edge wasn’t safe for small hands. They sent someone to just remove the lid and didn’t replace it. Although this sorted the problem of a sharp lid, it was now unhygienic as every flush spread germs over the room. I understand this was on the cheaper end, so we didn’t expect top quality, but the whole place is in desperate need of a thorough clean to remove the layers of dust all over the cabinets, along with some maintenance; the shower head sprays water everywhere, the bathroom sink doesn’t drain properly and lamp shades falling off in the bedrooms. We would stay again if the issues were sorted and a deep clean took place.
