Nice visit

Beautiful grounds and overall good stay. However, they had a technical issue where the cafe could not charge things directly to the room number and the manager came up to the staff member and in front of us, the guests, was very abrubt and rude. Customer service on this was not good and I felt for the nice lady who was serving us. He needed to take a step back and relax and be polite to the staff.

Site enchanteur, service excellent autant à la réception qu'au restaurant St-Laurent, chambre avec vue sur le Fleuve bien mais mériterait quelques améliorations. Tunnel intérieur utile pour se rendre au casino.

Just an incredible place and hotel. Well deserving of it's reputation. The food, the service, the facilities, everything was immaculate.

This is a gorgeous old hotel but it needs a little attention. The wallpaper in our room was peeling and the paint in the bathroom was also peeling. The hairdryer in the room didn’t work. The staff was polite, but not warm. One of the lamps on the bedside was broken. It just needs some TLC. The barista in the basement cafe looked like she had never used a milk frother in her life. I think I just expected more from The Fairmount. On the bright side, the amenities are great and plentiful and the location is absolutely stunning. A little investment and care would go a long way to making this beautiful, historic place that much more special and spectacular.
