Great facilities & comfy rooms

Ultimate Provence is a less traditional and more modern winery stay. Rooms were setup well with a comfortable bed, big bathroom and nice outdoor space. The hotel itself also has great amenities. We utilised the pool and spa but there was also padel & volleyball. However be mindful of when you stay as outside peak times (July/August) certain services (like the full pool bar) are closed. Food in the restaurant was decent (we had lunch & dinner there once each) but there are nicer options at nearby chateaus. However we enjoyed getting out and about to explore anyways. We would have given the stay 5 stars but we were told just before our stay (via email) that the pool would be closed until 6pm during our stay. It appears there was some miscommunication and this was only the case on our first night due to a private event (so not a big deal since checkin is at 4:30pm) but it took a few calls to reception to clear this up.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the property. The staff was super friendly and the property is spacious. The food was outstanding. Having stayed here in the off-season, I felt I got a fantastic deal and for that reason I would stay there again. I do remember seeing the high-season prices, and I don't feel the hotel is as luxurious as it claims to be. For one, it's quite a ways outside of St. Tropez and St. Maxime. There's a super winding road that can literally be very dangerous at night. This road leads from the hotel to La Garde-Freinet to Grimaud and from there to St. Tropez.

Location top, dinner poor

The location is superb and a lot of effort and investment are given to keep it as beautiful as it is. We stayed in a classic double room, a bit small but handy. All amenities are at your disposal. A plus point for the mattress, sooo comfy!! Unfortunately the dinner was poor and pretty disappointing. The staff on the premises were very nice and gave their best. Not the same can be said about the event/marketing department. A real nightmare if you plan to book an event.

This hotel doesnā€™t make sense (yet)

This hotel does not make sense. To start with something nice: itā€™s very instagrammable. Meaning that the architect, designers and contractors did a good job. It looks great. But it does not feel like a hotel in this price category. Why? The service comes across as amateurish. For instance, room service did not fill up the coffee. Or service in the restaurant is stiff (as opposed to relaxed and personal, while still quick). Service at the pool is more like in a 2* hotel (no real bar, no snacks, not even a pastis you can order). Oh, and loud music until 11 or so does not feel like ā€œultimate Provenceā€ to me, especially when you hear it in the room. On the bright side, there is quite some potential. All these things can be fixed. But management really has to rethink the entire concept before this flies.

Beautiful place in midst of a vineyard surrounded by the French countryside. The hotel has been completely refurbished and recently reopened for guests. The pool area is quiet and spacious, perfect for a relaxing day! The rooms are superb, modern in design and high quality in feel. Most rooms either have vineyard or courtyard view and a terrace. The restaurant / bar serves Asian/French fusion dishes, slightly upscale prices and their own wine (My tip: Ultimate Provence Rose). Service still needs to find their groove and the reception is not always staffed - other than that we enjoyed our stay very much and will be back!

AprĆØs une bonne expĆ©rience Ć  l'Ć©tĆ© dernier nous avions dĆ©cidĆ© de revenir cet Ć©tĆ© : quelle erreur ! UP a semble-t-il dĆ©cidĆ© d'ouvrir son espace piscine Ć  la clientĆØle extĆ©rieure et le moins que l'on puisse dire c'est que l'hĆ“tel, qui se veut pourtant exclusif et haut de gamme, est devenu un vĆ©ritable camping ! L'aprĆØs-midi, la piscine est prise d'assaut par tout type de clientĆØle (Ć  la qualitĆ© douteuse) qui s'y croit comme chez eux. L'eau de la piscine est trouble, ce qui est d'autant plus inquiĆ©tant qu'il n'y a pas de toilettes Ć  proximitĆ©. Un autre couple de clients a carrĆ©ment quittĆ© l'hĆ“tel plus tĆ“t que prĆ©vu au vu de la situation ! MalgrĆ© plusieurs plaintes au management de l'hĆ“tel, peu a Ć©tĆ© fait et aucun geste commercial ou mot d'excuse proposĆ© ! Le directeur de l'hĆ“tel Ć©tait absent de plus ce weekend du 15 aoĆ»t, pourtant certainement un des plus chargĆ©s de l'annĆ©e. Le personnel et les serveurs sont sympathiques et font du mieux qu'ils peuvent pour contenter les clients de l'hĆ“tel ; ils ne sont malheureusement pas soutenus par leur management qui doit prĆ©fĆ©rer faire du chiffre au dĆ©triment de la qualitĆ©. Nous avons aussi eu quelques soucis dans les restaurants : tant de service TRƈS long, nourriture passĆ©e et souvent stockĆ©e en plein soleil, certains plats insimpides. Nous avions apprĆ©ciĆ© ce lieu mais nous chercherons dĆ©sormais une alternative. Nous ne reviendrons plus !
