The cabana was dated and could use a refresh. It had a great porch view on arenal. Decent for the price. The staff was not as helpful as other places we stayed. It was out of town and took a 5 minte drive to get to town so close but far enough away to give you privacy. We drove into to Red Frog for our morning coffee which I recommend.

Staff was friendly, room was very clean. Hotel centrally located, close to Fortuna Waterfall. However, the restaurant is not opened “during the weekday” so this service isn’t offered, making it inconvenient if you were looking to enjoy an evening settled in your hotel. Also, some days of the week breakfast is not offered at the restaurant so they will bring it to your room. No personal toiletries…..shampoo is the same as body wash they said, no conditioner. Towels are very numbered. Very little outdoor lighting at night. Most posted hotel pictures of restaurant or lighted cabin porches is not what you get. Quiet and peaceful though.

A Hidden Gem in La Fortuna – Truly Unforgettable!

I recently stayed at Brisas and can't say enough good things about this place! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and right at home. The view of nature on the property was unbelievable! I stayed in the newest building C7, and it was absolutely beautiful– the highlight being the new front and rear patio with a nice hammock where I spent peaceful moments soaking in the surrounding nature and view of the Volcano. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or relax in the evening while listening to the sounds of the jungle. The owner is one of the warmest and most genuine people I’ve ever met while traveling. He personally greeted us, shared local tips, and made sure we had everything we needed – he truly treats you like family. The front desk staff were equally fantastic – always helpful,kind and attentive. Whether we needed tour recommendations or had questions about the area, they were ready with a smile and great advice. And let’s talk about the breakfast – it was delicious, freshly prepared, and served in a lovely open-air area where you can watch colorful birds nearby while you eat. A perfect way to start each day in paradise. If you're visiting La Fortuna, Brisas is your best option. It combines comfort, hospitality, and the beauty of Costa Rica in the best possible way. I immediately extended my stay by 3 days as soon as I saw my room! Special shout out to the property pups, Roxie, Molly, Sammy and Cookie for being great company during our stay. -Golfiteño

Enjoyed our stay here! Lots to do near this hotel. The little cafe next to the pool has great lattes and cappuccinos. The breakfast was okay. We enjoyed our dinner at one of the offered restaurants near the gravel area with the fire pits. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Quiet, beautiful family owned property. The breakfast is amazing and surrounded by toucans and parrots along with hummingbirds and other wildlife. Clean rooms with warm showers. Very close to many great food options if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. The family is very kind.

We had an amazing stay at Brisas. We’d booked a family room which was large and well appointed. The grounds on which the property is, are excellent with numerous birds. We saw Toucans multiple times. They’ve also got an onsite hiking trail. I would recommend staying here.

The property is excellent. Everything is fantastic, very clean, the staff is very friendly and customer oriented and the area is beautiful. For the people that like the forest, it is one of the best property that I have visited.
