Bauma - an excellent boutique hotel in La Fortuna

What a fantastic hotel. Truly enjoyed our stay at Bauma. The grounds and incredibly well maintained and the hotel is clean and beautifully constructed and maintained. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were super responsive via WhatsApp from the moment we booked throughout our stay. The location is super convenient and safe!!

The private hot tub was the highlight. Clean, heated, accessible. Beautiful shower, comfortable room. Convenient location. A bit off the main drag, which was a big plus but would be a negative if we didn't have a rental car. Highly recommended.

Bauma was a beautiful getaway. The structure was very unique! It had great outdoor space, with a little oasis out our double sliding doors. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after a full day of hiking and adventure. Great balcony with sofa looking out towards Arenal and a front balcony to watch the sunrise. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The space was nice and welcoming. Plenty of room for storing luggage and clothes. Equipped kitchenette and a very refreshing shower. The gentleman on duty when we arrived was super kind and informative. I would definitely stay here again. An added bonus was the North Fields coffee and chocolate tour across the street. We really enjoyed this tour and being able to walk to and from our Loft.

Each Loft* was a stand alone unit. The walk up to the unit felt like a very short jungle hike :-) The seating and private hot tub in the back were nicely private. Private parking with security at night. Micro wave, induction hot plate and refrigerator. Highly recommend.

Outstanding!

Beautiful facilities, relaxing atmosphere, modern decor, comfortable beds, and great location. This was much nicer than even the most expensive hotels we have stayed in. You get a feeling of privacy, which you never have in a hotel.

Absolutely beautiful and modern place with lush grounds and your own private hot tub! ! They had all the amenities you needed in each unit. Very friendly and responsive staff! Pricy but worth it for a few days of luxury!

We rented the loft and it was exactly as described. It was a conveniently allocated about a 5 minute drive or Uber to La Fortuna. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the upstairs deck and coming home after hiking to use our private jacuzzi.

Modern chic private suites!

If you’re looking for a modern, ultra clean and comfortable spot in a safe area, this is a boutique hotel. Note I did not say resort. The incredible and modern and new suite was very cool, with lots of outdoor spaces for the suite mates to enjoy, including private hot tub (very clean), rooftop patios, and backyard oasis. Parking right outside. Monitored 24/7 by guards. Excellent and responsive housekeeping. But no laundry or pool or restaurant on the property… it’s just not that type of place (2 of the larger suites have their own small pool each). One small suggestion is that they improve bed linens. They were fine, but for this price should be 100% cotton at 600 thread count. But otherwise it was fabulous!

Fantastic brand new property with individual apartments including a private garden and jacuzzi. The rooms are smartly designed with part open ceiling in bathroom, natural light coming up in the morning and the birds and nature waking you up in a lullaby Distance to tow n is 3-4 mins walk and there is a super market nearby Uber operates in La fortuna so Al good
