Village House in La Caunette with Pool
A beautiful village house used as a holiday home in the quiet and charming hamlet of La Caunette, close to the picturesque medieval village of Minerve (6 km). Minerve is a wonder in itself, the town is set between deep ravines, really impressive to see! The area around Minerve is called the Minervois, and this is also the name of the fine, high-quality wines produced in this region. Feel free to open a few bottles!
The pretty 14th-century holiday home has a beautiful garden with stunning views. The setting is magnificent and perfect for lovers of walking and tranquillity.
For culture lovers, there are two nearby sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The first is the famous Canal du Midi: hire a boat from the town of Homps (17 km) and set off to discover this beautifully situated canal. En route, take a break in one of the many restaurants on the banks of the canal. The other World Heritage site is the beautiful fortified town of Carcassonne (47 km). Visit also the beautiful Olonzac (14 km), the lovely town of Narbonne (30 km) and the seaside resort of Gruissan (43 km). The swimming lake of Jouarre is 12 km away. Supermarket (3 km) and shopping centre (8 km). Beautiful village house with character and a lovely swimming pool (5 x 3 m, 1.20 m deep). The pool and garden are at the front of the house (10 m away). Just cross the small village road. There's only one car a day here, as it's a cul-de-sac and the hamlet has only 30 inhabitants. Really quiet!
