Good location, simple room

Nice room at a good price, but had some setbacks

First, the positives - the room was quite large and the location is fantastic. The bathroom and shower were very nice, and the bed was comfortable. Free parking was readily available about a block away. On the negative side, and these incidents might be unique based on my situation, but there was some confusion at check-in and unfortunate timing on check-out. I will elaborate. I checked in late (~9 pm) - after the front desk was closed for the night and check-in was handled by employees of the hotel bar/restaurant - and they had trouble finding my reservation at first and the whole process took at least 20 minutes even though I was the only one checking in at that time. Lastly, during check-out the sewage was being drained by a sewage truck and the smell was overwhelming. So that was a bit unfortunate. Overall, though, loved the room, the location, and the price and would probably stay there again.

Small hotel in a lovely position on the banks of the river . The room was spacious with a comfortable large bed and a lovely view across the river . We ate in the restaurant and had lovely scallops cooked in garlic followed by a very tasty venison stew . We found the whole overnight stay very good value for money and would definitely stay there again .

My quest for a real French village experience.

It was like a fairytale, set beside a river in a French village, the hotel was straight from a Hemingway novel or the movie Chocalat. The room was perfect, the staff was perfectly French and the dinner scene was as if it were staged for a movie but wasn’t, it was real and in it's own way surreal ! I give it my highest grade 😀

Excellent service and good will...

This review will be somewhat different. My wife and I planned to stay at Les Terrases de David et Louisa on November 23rd for one night and on the morning of that day we got on our way from Nice towards L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. It was raining heavily and roads got flooded. After being on the road for 4 hours with 4 hours more to go, we decide to give up and return to Nice. We called the hotel to notify that we are not coming. A nice lady answered our call we explained the situation, and asked her if there something she could do so that we wouldn't have to pay for the room, even though the cancellation period was over. The lady said she will see if there is anything she could do. After several calls between us she managed to cancel the reservation without us being charged. We wish to thank the lady for her efforts to help us, even though she did not have to lift a finger. Unfortunetally we did not asked for her name, but I am sure that if someone from the property is reading this review, he will know who I am talking about. I think the persons running the property immensly reflect on the place and we will definitely try to get there on the first chance we will get. Thank you very much again.

Heart of the island location! Very atmospheric with lots of funky art/sayings on walls. Excellent food. Could hear water fall outside our bedroom window! Would definitely return.

Great overnight stay

Lovely little hotel, beautiful setting by the river in a pretty town. No problem finding a parking space nearby. Lots of restaurants nearby but we decided to eat at the hotel and enjoyed our dinner by the river. Good breakfast too.

La chambre n était pas assez isolé et on entendait beaucoup la circulation. Suite à un orage la lumière s’ est éteinte et pas de tel pour prévenir , nous sommes restés une h dans le noir pour se doucher avant de descendre prévenir , pensant que tout l’ établissement était concerné .

Hotel is prima en netjes. Wel geen lift en kamer op tweede verdieping, dus niet ideaal voor wie zich moeilijk verplaatst. Het avondeten is een echte tegenvaller.
