Located conveniently to the Gion district of Kyoto, a relatively short walk to Kiyomizu-dera, and also Pontocho and the modern heart of Kyoto. Big, comfortable beds, and modern meets old world style. In-site onsen and bar, what more could you want?

This place has gone downhill in general hospitality and some things have suffered physically. The staff is terrible and rules based and tries to charge for everything. Asking for extra towels is met with shock. The laundry room is extremely dirty and the dryers don’t work very well causing backups. It’s a beautiful place but upkeep and behavior is half-energy. I got a deal under $100 and based on my experience that was a value. Anything 1.5 times that I’d say look into other options. New management is needed.

AMAZING hotel in Kyoto. This hotel was by far my favorite from my stay in Japan. I love the design and features. I really liked the peaceful vibes for the Japanese style room, and the traditional Japanese breakfast was amazing. Thank you for making my short stay in Kyoto so memorable.

My second stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s peaceful and quiet and right in the heart of Gion. I love the beds so much and appreciate the wonderful public bath. It’s so relaxing that I booked a room for one night just so I could rest and recharge before continuing on my journey.

Great room and location! The staff was so nice and helpful with any questions we had. Towels, water etc. were delivered daily which was a huge plus. I like that there was a trash bin and recycling bin by the elevators along with towel drop off. Made it super convenient. The breakfast was also great with plenty of options. Overall a great experience will be staying here again.
