Small modern hotel in great location in Gion

Pros: Location, cleanliness, generally nice feel.
Cons: Room size is small, obviously cannot be changed, but layout is good.
Location: Gion district, shopping, temples, good access to public transport
Small modern hotel in Gion district, good facilities, quiet.

Fantastic location for tourists, has a good mix of western and Japanese features so you feel comfortable but also enjoy the Japanese feel of the place (we stayed in a Japanese room). The only complaint was the pillows. I would usually overlook something like this but it was just sooo uncomfortable that neither my husband or I slept well on our stay here. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

The staff were infallible. Rooms were clean and modern and the location was amazing. Though, the bed was not particularly comfortable. Would get the breakfast included next time as it was delicious.

Nicely designed new hotel

Pros: Onsen, location.
Really nicely done re design and interiors. The lobby/reception area is beautiful. Great bar area as well Rooms (especially the western style rooms) are on the smallish side. We had a premier room - massive bed, but not much other space - but this is a minor complaint. The onsen is really nicely done, and i would recommend a soak if you have time. Close to Gion Shijo too
