The property itself is absolutely beautiful. The small garden that you could see from the tatami room was gorgeous and everything within the home was clean and lovely, great quality. The area around the property was calm when we went. It has a lovely feel and there are some nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Besides that, the ones managing the property were very helpful and kind. There were a few matters where I didn't know how to do something and messaged them and got a reply in a very reasonable time. Amazing stay! We loved everything about Nazuna Kyoto. The location was just a few minutes from the subway, in a quiet part of Higashiyama. Super clean, quiet, modern, yet traditional Ryokan style two story townhouse with tatami mats and a beautiful garden. Roomy and charming! Fabulous bathroom and tub! Luxurious toiletries, the softest pajamas, and the beds were so comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was well equipped and clean. We specially loved the quirky and charming vintage record player with vinyls for our enjoyment. With a cup of matcha prepared for us upon arrival, we felt so welcomed. Would definitely stay again if ever in Kyoto.

Great stay!

Great "hotel". It is a full building separate from the main hotel elsewhere in the city. As such, there is no reception area. Having to call to be let in the first time was the only drawback form an otherwise amazing stay. Having a private house, complete with a soaking bath tub is great. There was little to no foot traffic and as such no noises at night. HIGHLY recommend getting breakfast included. It's vegetarian, but delicious! Housekeeping shows up every other day, depending on length of your stay. Can call the main reception area to ask them to help book reservations for restaurants.
