In front of the house begins the path that leads to the gorge of Makrychorio (place of Spilies) as well as to the CANYON climbing tracks. A stone’s throw from the house, one can find the traditional village tavern “Patridos Gevsi” and enjoy wonderful traditional recipes of Evia. At a distance of 20 kilometers the visitor reaches Kymi, the Balcony of the Aegean, where he can enjoy the traditional sweets of the region. This is a beautifully restored traditional house in a stunning mountain village, very close to all the climbing areas in "Manikia". Extremely well equipped, with all basic supplies, and lovely gifts of olive oil, wine, eggs, and homemade cake on arrival. There is a little seating area outside where you can sit and watch the comings and goings of village life. The village taverna is next door, serving great food, which was really convenient since closest other taverna is a 15 mins drive away. Fabulous cafes in the square in Manikia 5 mins away...lovely Iannis and Katarina serve a mean breakfast omelette. Fantastic rural base for climbers or anyone who appreciates traditional Greek culture and scenery.
