We had a wonderful time in Kranjska Gora and in particular in Garni Hotel Miklic.
A literal slice of heaven. Sadly we were only passing through on our way to a wedding in Italy, but after the way we were treated at this place, we are currently planning a full vacation here. We were greeted by the kindest gentleman at the front, and every single person was so kind and helpful. We got upgraded to a huge suite with two bedrooms and a whole living room because we were traveling with a baby and there was some construction towards the front and they didn't want the noise to wake the baby. They also told us we could leave the car parked there while we went on a little hike after checking out. I was literally speechless at how thoughtful and kind these people were. The place was massive and so charming. The view from all three balconies was straight out of a fairytale. The big red flowers in the window boxes with the mountain backdrop live in my memories, as does the splendid breakfast with fresh juices and cheese, locally made yoghurt, and more kinds of food than I could even try. The area is also beautiful for walking with lots of charming little shops and restaurants, and some beautiful hikes nearby. People can really make or break a vacation experience, and in this case, the people are the main reason we would do a whole vacation here. I cannot imagine a more perfect place. We cannot wait to come back.
