The municipality of Kolonowskie, located in the "Lasy Stobrawsko-Turawskie" nature reserve, has the largest forest share of all municipalities in the Opole Voivodeship. It is over 70% of the total surface.
The Małą Panew river with its tributaries offers great tourist opportunities. The natural river bed and the resulting windings and old water make it possible to organize wild river trips. The route, which is very picturesque throughout the course of the river, is divided into several stages according to different levels of difficulty and length. This is undoubtedly an attraction not only for beginners but also for advanced kayakers.
The recent discovery of the approximately 230 million Year-old reptile and amphibian relics, on the border of the villages Krasiejów (Ozimek municipality) and Staniszcze Małe (Kolonowskie). This, greatest discovery of this kind in Europe is attracting more and more scientists and media - which is a good basis for the development of the tourist industry. Areas within the Kolonowskie municipality were selected for tourism management. 3.5 hectares of these areas are in the immediate vicinity of the DINOPARK building in Krasiejów.
Another advantage of the municipality is a highly developed cycle path network, with local cycle paths and long-distance routes and also natural areas ("Pod Dębami", "Kocia Góra") and natural monuments (peduncle and red oak alley).
The dynamically developing night quarters and restaurants also have an impact on the attractiveness of the community.
