Room was beautiful and spacious. Loved the bathroom, the rainshower was great, double sinks made getting around an ease. The lighted mirror was helpful. Great amentities, the twice a day cleaning ensured you never needed anything The view was absolutely amazing. The pillows and bed were incredibly comfortable. Staff were very accommodating.

Amazing stay

Beautiful location, high quality food and drink and brilliantly attentive staff. Lots of children during school holidays but couples or solo travellers can use the adults-only pool, which is empty and peaceful. Thoroughly recommend!

Amazing views & fantastic staff

The Intercontinental is in a beautiful location on the West Coast of Koh Samui with stunning views and sunsets. The room was extremely spacious and was nicely decorated. Staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

Warm hospitality and wondeful experience, thoughtful service - a special mention of the dining experience, they remembered my child’s favourite snack. every staff were friendly and helpful, from daily breakfast and dining, spa treatments, room service and concierge. When we arrived at the resort after a long taxi ride, we received a fantastic welcome from the staff. Martin (the Guest Manager) quickly seated us at a table in the lounge, where we were served a refreshing drink and cold towels. He took care of the entire check-in process there and explained how everything works at the resort. While we were waiting for our room to be ready—we arrived well before check-in—we were served afternoon tea. The rooms at this resort offer a spectacular view, as it is built along a mountainside overlooking the ocean. We were completely overwhelmed. The staff at this resort are absolutely wonderful. Everyone makes sure you have everything you need and is always happy to stop for a friendly chat, which makes the experience feel very personal. They remember what we usually order and ask the next time if we would like to have the same again. Examples of staff groups we interacted with include the lounge, breakfast, reception, traffic control, housekeeping, gardening, transport/shuttle, restaurant, and bar staff. Every single one of them is outstanding.

Good resort with beautiful view. bad location

Great resort if you like to stay in the resort and relax. But there's nothing outside of the resort and you need to take a cab for almost everything. a typical cab ride is 45 mins to 1 hr to where civilization is. Cabs are surprisingly expensive.

Wonderful experience!

It was a great experience stay at intercontinental Samui. Great staff and service, the location seems quite far from the urban areas such as fisherman’s village but hotel has shuttle bus three rounds a day to go to those places. And if you just wanna stay in the hotel and chill, it was actually a great location, quiet, great sea view, perfect sunset! You have to see the sunset on the beach there! Breakfast was just ok, coffee was good though. Overall it was worth it.

Hotel is in a nice spot but needs renovation! we had a villa on the beach which was nice but way too expensive for the quality. Staff nice but often inexperienced. Only two restaurants, food was not impressive compared to Bkk/Hua Hin 5star restaurants. New years eve party overpriced and hardly any firework. Better choose Chaweng hotels!
