Accommodation In Ko Ngai

Wot about an island holiday in Thailand with incredible views of the Andaman Sea? Take a look at our Koh Ngai accommodation which is located on a densely forested island, surrounded by blue waters and coral reefs and there isn't a crowd in sight. Koh Ngai is sometimes referred to as Koh Hai, and is part of the Koh Lanta Islands in Krabi Province. This remote island is perfect for a romantic getaway or a relaxing weekend escape because it isn't anywhere near as touristy as other beach destinations in Thailand.

Things to do

Snorkel on the reef or hire a kayak and go exploring. The nearby Emerald Cave is a must-visit and you can reach it by kayaking out to Ko Muk at low tide. If you're keen to do a bit of island hopping, you can join a group and go snorkelling or diving off of some of the nearby islands. One of the best sites is in Trang's Hat Chao Mai National Park, so make sure you check out the marine life there.

If you'd prefer to stay dry, you can go for a hike through the untouched jungle. There's a path that leads past a coconut plantation and up to a beautiful lookout, so make sure you bring your camera.

For the ultimate in relaxation, just laze about on the beach and then have a Thai massage or indulge in some pampering at a spa.

Shopping and Dining

This secluded island doesn't have any shops or many facilities but you will be able to make calls, access the internet, purchase snacks and use generated electricity at your hotel. Just make sure you pick up essential items before leaving the mainland.

Note that there aren't any independent restaurants on the island, but the resorts serve up some mean seafood curries. You'll have plenty of dining options with Thai and Western cuisines available.

Getting here and around

The nearest international airport is in Krabi, so book a seat on one of these cheap flights to Krabi. From there, you can get a taxi to the pier at Pak Meng. It takes about an hour and a half and the taxi fare is pretty reasonable. At the pier, you can catch a ferry, which takes about an hour and a half or a speed boat, which will get you here in about 50 minutes. Once you're on the island, you can get around on foot or by kayak as the island is only 2km by 4km.

A secluded island with soft white sand beaches, crystal clear water and postcard-perfect scenery – wot more could you ask for? Book a room in one of our Koh Ngai hotels!
