Great location, rooms standart but clean, rooms were close to each other. You could hear evry noise from other room. The price was ok. Tv small but was ok since the motel was almost empty and we spend the hole day outside.

This is a very well-kept motel & property. The Manager was very accommodating, useful, and friendly. Everything worked well, and it was a real pleasure to have visited. My wife & I will be back again. It was centrally located to the sights in the area, Kaaterskill Falls, North-South Lake and dining choices.

They were not open when I arrived at 6:30. No one answered the phone and there was nothing indicating that after 6pm they were not staffed. I was left scrambling for a hotel room for the night.

The only reason I give and not 1 is the staff, which was good. I come to motels to sleep, and this one was noisy. The room next to us felt like they lived there which was bizzare. They were audibly banging on the tables at 10pm and I had to ask them to stop.

The Sunview motel is overall a pretty good hotel. The room was cozy, and the stay would have been above average except for the window situation. The front window by the door had very bright lights on directly outside of it all night, and the blinds (fully closed) did not effectively block out the light. Waking up at 2am looked like it was sunrise in the room. My husband and I had to sleep in the two separate beds and build pillow blockers to sleep behind so it wasn’t so bright. I would recommend the motel buy blackout curtains for the rooms if they’d like to keep the outdoor lighting so bright. One full length for the window without the AC, and one half length for above the AC unit.

This place is, in the best possible way, a blast from the past! A nice, quaint roadside motel with a mountain vibe! Great views of the Catskills from the small hill where there’s a fire pit and Adirondack chairs for relaxation and lounging. Re-read Rip Van Winkle after a fantastic dinner at Deer Mountain Inn as it got dark looking upon the mountains where the story took place. Picturesque and perfect! Had the entire motel to myself and it was so nice, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful experience!
