Great Location, Lovely Home, A Few Suggestions
We enjoyed staying in this home very much. It is homey, well appointed & great location. The furniture was generally comfortable and up-to-date. We had trouble with a few things, but the property management company addressed our issues promptly. A couple of things to note that I list in the hopes that the owners will considering repairing or replacing these items. 1) The 2nd to bottom step on the ext. stairway leading up to the house is loose, could cause someone to lose their footing. 2) The rugs in the upstairs bathroom appeared dirty or stained. 3) The cushions on the outdoor furniture were quite dirty and stained. 4) The microfiber sheets in the main bedroom were extremely uncomfortable—they are hot and stick to you when turning over in bed. 5) The coil spring mattress in the downstairs queen guest bedroom was uncomfortable. 6) The first set of bunk beds in the bunk room downstairs was rickety and not stable; the top mattress was unlevel, sloping towards the outside of the bed. 7) The instructions for the tv remotes were confusing and out of date as the tv remote we finally were able to use was not the one indicated in the instructions. 8) The gas fireplace remote was not available to us to use even though the weather during our stay (June) was very cold (30 degrees at night). All of these things are fixable and would not stop me from renting the property again. Hopefully the owner/management company will address these issues and make the property even better.
