BUYER BEWARE: this property was both mold and bug infested. There was an infestation of roaches from the open beam ceilings which are un-caulked. We also found a centipede in the kitchen, and wasps inside as well. Se took photos of everything. We take 6-8 trips to Maui each year, and we have never had such an awful experience. In addition to the infestation of bugs were the very old air conditioning units in the bedrooms, filled with black mold. I had trouble breathing and was unable to sleep for most of the night. I turned the unit off around 1:00am which did not help. My daughter woke up with swollen red eyes. We notified the property manager at Caldwell Banker first thing in the morning after our first night, telling them of our experience. They said they would come with roach traps. I explained that the roach infestation was on the ceiling, 12 or more feet high, and traps would be of no use. Additionally, the wasps and centipede. Moreover, the severe mold problem which was even more of a concern than the infestation. I stated that my family and I would not be able to stay in those conditions. They offered no help to try and get us another property. So we had to spend our entire second day looking for accommodations. Thankfully we were able to find some and packed up and left late in the afternoon. I would not ever stay in this property again, nor would I rent with coldwell banker island vacations due to the horrible customer service.
